A nice easy drinking blonde is always a beer that has been on the back burner for me. Seeing how I love hoppy beers, other brews have always come up. However, a very good friend of mine is getting married and we are doing bus beer tour in San Diego. Since you are allowed to drink on the bus, it was requested that I bring a few easy drinking homebrews. The blonde being one and the kolsch being the other. Since, the winter has been quite cool, it has been perfect weather to ferment a blonde. My garage has been holding a steady 65 degrees F. So it is a perfect timing for the beer.
During the bus tour, at each of the stops we are going to be drinking a lot of beer. I figured the homebrew on the bus should mellow, drinkable and low gravity. These three things were used to design the beer. It is a very simple recipe, mostly 2-row with a little bit of speciality malt and mildly hopped. I did a little bit of research and came up with the recipe below.
